KISS ME: Iconic K-Drama Kissing Scenes

Kiss Me.jpeg

Korean dramas are known for their kissing scenes. Or some might say—lack of kissing scenes. Yes, K-dramas make you wait but as many viewers will tell you they actually appreciate this fact. TikTok is the perfect place to feature some of the great K-drama kisses. The 15-second clip forces me to find just the right moment and the perfect background song is Kiss Me by Korean American sibling duo, Chasing Lovely, because it’s literally about the tension building up to a first kiss. Kiss Me also talks about the desire to be kissed like we see in the movies—those scenes definitely set the bar high. Keep in mind those kisses have been mapped out, directed, and shot from every angle. There are plenty of awkward K-drama kisses (I won’t be naming names here) so when there’s a really good one it’s hard not to focus on the chemistry between the actors.

One of these days I’d like to do a video montage to the entire song because the imagery conjured up by the lyrics inspires so many possibilities. Until then, here a few great K-drama kisses to enjoy. This is another one of those posts you might want to bookmark so you can check back for updates. If you’re on TikTok follow @thekatturner and they’ll come through your feed.

What’s your favorite K-drama kiss? Let me know in the comments. If you have a kiss you’d like me to feature you can also let me know. If possible tell me which episode and if you know the time code that’s even better!
