Whether you're dreaming about visiting Korea or deep in planning mode, one conversation with me will help you find clarity—leaving you with a plan you actually trust.

This is your next step.
Book My Call →Not because they didn't try. Because a reel can't warn you that your itinerary is too packed on day one.
Travel influencers focus on “Instagrammable” locations—not telling you which places will actually make you feel something.
ChatGPT messes up and says, “Oops, my mistake” while you're left stranded at the wrong subway exit with jet lag and luggage.
Pieced-together research isn't a plan.
It's leaving an important trip up to chance.

I'm not a tourist with a checklist. I'm a Korean adoptee reconnecting with a country that was taken from me at one year old.
I've visited Korea over 10 times, with stays averaging two to six weeks each. I have navigated Seoul and Busan independently, figured out what travel blogs get wrong, and learned the kind of things you can only learn by actually being there.
Along the way, friends started asking me questions. Then acquaintances. Then strangers who found me online.
So I created The Korea Call — realizing I bring something no travel guide can offer: a personal and emotional understanding of what it means to visit Korea when you have a deep connection to it.
Whether you're a fellow K-adoptee, a K-drama fan, or someone who's had Korea on their bucket list — I get it, and I can help.
One call. Human answers. Someone who has actually been there.

Not a travel agency. Not a pre-packaged tour. A direct line to Kat — someone who has spent more time in Korea in the last three years than most travel bloggers will in a decade — so you can get specific answers tailored to you.

“I am still so glad I went to Korea and have so many wonderful memories. Thank you for nudging me to meet up...”
“Kat's DOES NOT miss. She not only recommended restaurants but told me exactly what to order on the menu. The hidden cafe she told me about was my favorite one I went to. Thank god for her detailed directions or I would've been lost trying to find it!
She also recommended a food market tour and a guided bike tour that allowed me to fully immerse myself in the beautifully, unique culture of Seoul. In her words: "Seoul is meant to be explored on foot" and I couldn't agree more!”
“Kat brought a perfect balance of local knowledge, cultural insight, and genuine warmth. She customized my itinerary based on my budget and interests, and never hesitated to adapt plans to match what I wanted.”
“Kat was an incredible resource during my trip to Korea. She made navigating a new country feel so much less overwhelming — helping me understand money conversion, navigate the ICN airport, and how to use the bus system. Her guidance saved me time, reduced stress, and helped me feel much more confident exploring on my own.”
“Kat's local Korean connections gave me access to tours that weren't even on my radar. In fact, the most unforgettable experience on my trip was a moonlit tour I'd never even heard of! Before going, I felt so overwhelmed — but Kat was honest about what was worth my time and what to skip.”
Not at all. Whether you're a total beginner who just started dreaming about Korea, or someone who's been deep in research for months, the call meets you where you are. I will ask you about your travel style, your interests, and what you're hoping to get out of the trip — and the conversation goes from there.
Come with questions. Seriously — even a rough list of things you're wondering or unsure about will make the call much more useful. If you have a draft itinerary or a list of places you're considering, bring that too. The more specific you can be, the more specific I can be in return. But if you show up with nothing but “I want to go to Korea and I don't know where to start” — that's completely fine, too.
I send a follow-up recap email after every call with key notes, recommendations, and anything I referenced during the session. If something comes up after you've had time to review your notes and a quick clarifying question is all you need, I'll do my best to answer briefly via email. For more involved follow-up, you're welcome to book a follow-up session.
Yes — cancellations made at least 48 hours before the scheduled call receive a full refund. Cancellations within 48 hours can be rescheduled once. If you no-show without notice, the session is forfeited. Life happens, so if something unexpected comes up, just reach out and we'll work it out.
The 30-minute call is great for this. A lot of people book it when they're in the “is this even realistic for me?” stage. I can help you figure out whether Korea is the right trip for you, what a realistic trip might look like, and whether the timing makes sense. Sometimes all you need is one conversation to go from “someday maybe” to “okay, let's actually do this.”
No. First-timers are the most common client, but people who have been to Korea before also book calls — especially if they want to go deeper, explore beyond typical “tourist-y” spots, or plan a longer or more complex trip than their last one. If you've been and want to go back and do it differently, I can absolutely help with that.
Yes, as a Korean adoptee myself, I understand the specific emotional and logistical complexity of visiting Korea as an adoptee — navigating what it means to be in the country you were born in, handling the feelings that come up, and figuring out how much of your trip you want to dedicate to adoption-related experiences versus just being a traveler.

Kat Turner is a Korean adoptee born in Busan, South Korea. She’s spent the last several years returning to the country she came from — ten trips in, with stays that average two to six weeks each. She does not have a sponsored itinerary — just a genuine, ongoing relationship with a country she loves and is reconnecting with.
The Korea Call was born because she kept getting asked the same questions — and kept seeing people plan trips with bad information. One conversation can change the entire shape of your trip, and she wants yours to be great.
